I'm YingYing Su, a profesional pianist, composer and educator graduated both Classical piano and Jazz piano from the conservatory in Taiwan and from CODARTS Rotterdam conservatory, the Netherlands. For my own musical path, I started playing piano since I was 6 because my grandmother and mother are both playing piano (it is always really fun if someone at home can play piano! we would always sing together around the piano after dinner). Because it's so much fun, I started teaching my friends piano and chords while studying in high school already! That's why I have many years of teaching experience in private and group lessons, from children to adults, beginners to advanced players. I teach people who have never touched a piano before , along with young adults helping them to prepare for entrance exams in conservatory as well. Hello there! My name is Ana and I am a piano player from Buenos Aires, Argentina. After many years of private piano lessons, music schools and graduating and getting a diploma on piano performing from Escuela de Música Contemporánea (EMC) part of the Berklee International Network I decided to have the experience of studying abroad. This is how I ended up studying, and getting a bachelor, at the Rotterdam’s Conservatory CODARTS (University of the Arts) as a latin piano performer. As a colourful side note, I have also taken a couple years of singing and drums/percussion. I have played piano since I was 6 years old (so for 20 + years!) and, as I mentioned before, I have been through many types of learning, that is how I learned first hand that not every student learns the same and not every method of teaching works for everyone. I believe the classes should be first and foremost motivating to the student. For this the content has to be something that you as a student can relate to, and that it is useful for you! I have worked as a piano teacher for already ten years, taught at a kid’s orchestra, gave baby music lessons, accompany some choirs, perform live with my own projects and other’s projects, performed at circus’s shows… When I perform with my own projects I mainly play Latin American music and Latin Jazz. What I love the most about performing music is to connect different cultures, and hopefully this will make different people connect to each other. In other projects, and as a teacher, I have also played Jazz, funk, pop, some classical… a little of everything!.

Naast componeren ben ik ook actief als pianist en toetsenist en heb ik deelgenomen aan verschillende muziekprojecten in Griekenland en Nederland. Lesgeven: Ik ben ervan overtuigd dat muziek een expressieve taal is die iedereen zou moeten kunnen leren en gebruiken om te communiceren. I am Flery, a Greek pianist and a graduate of the Jazz/Pop department at the Utrecht Conservatory. I have been teaching piano and music theory/harmony for over eight years, with a more intensive focus during the past four years while living and studying in the Netherlands. I began playing piano at a very young age, starting with classical music and later transitioning to contemporary and jazz piano. Let op: Boekingen zijn momenteel alleen open voor volwassen studenten van 21 jaar en ouder. Om echt uit te blinken in het bespelen van de piano, moet u veel tijd en toewijding investeren. Het kan 2 tot 5 jaar duren voordat u aanzienlijke vooruitgang ziet. Als u een passie voor muziek heeft en bereid bent een langetermijncommitment aan te gaan, werk ik graag met u samen. Echter, als u twijfelt of u voldoende tijd kunt vrijmaken, raad ik u aan om een andere docent te zoeken. Ik geef voorrang aan leerlingen die oprecht bereid zijn te investeren in hun muzikale ontwikkeling. Houd er rekening mee dat een proefles van 30 minuten slechts een korte introductie is. Hello! I am Ainhoa, and currently I am studying classical piano in The Netherlands and I am currently studying my master's degree in music pedagogy. I have been studying piano for 15 years, I started when I was 7 years old. I grew up in a very musical home, with my father playing the doublebass and my sister playing the violin. I completed my bahcelor studies two years ago. I have been learning and studying since then with many different professionals and also playing in many halls. Due to many years of practice and study, I also have a solid foundation of theoretical musical knowledge. Thanks to having met many pianists and professors along these years I have learned how to teach in a different way depending on the student, always adapting to them. I live in Blijdorp, Rotterdam, in a house full of music, with my violinist sister. I am also familiar with teaching piano, especially with children, since I used to teach a couple of years ago in Spain. I have recently taken a pedagogy course about piano teaching in children from 5 years old to 18 years old, and my interest in teaching children has increased. Above all, I believe that playing the piano should be always a joyfull and pleasant experience.

Ik heb een poosje bij Lotus pianolessen mogen volgen en ik heb het als zeer positief en fijn ervaren. Lotus is een hele fijne persoonlijkheid met een grote passie voor piano, welke ze goed over weet te brengen. De lessen die Lotus geeft zijn een perfecte mix van oefenen en theorie. Ze is heel erg geduldig en als je iets niet begrijpt legt ze het je graag uit totdat je het wel begrijpt. Ze probeert de stof zo makkelijk en begrijpelijk mogelijk te maken. Het is dat ik ga verhuizen, anders had ik nog graag lang les bij haar gehad. Kortom: mocht je opzoek zijn naar een fijne docente met een bak aan ervaring, ga dan abosluut voor Lotus!

This is the second year our 15-year-old son has been taking lessons from Evelina. He says he enjoys going to the lessons because Evelina is easy to get along with. And while she teaches him classical music, she also encourages him to pick his own compositions, which is something he really appreciates. She helps him enjoy making music.
