I’ve added a few more available slots on my lesson calendar, but they are not completely fixed since I sometimes have concerts or rehearsals in the evenings, or I need to reserve time for my own practice. It would be wonderful if someone could take mornings hours slot on a regular weekly basis.Semi-professionals or serious amateurs are very welcome. First of all, I’m glad you found my information here. However, I must say that I’m often disappointed to see many unqualified amateurs presenting themselves as professional pianists or teachers. Because private teaching doesn’t require certification, anyone can advertise themselves as a “piano teacher.” For beginners, it can be difficult to tell the difference — and that can be risky for motivated students. I’ve had several students come to me after taking lessons from such “fake teachers,” and unfortunately, I often had to rebuild their technique from the very beginning. I can relate to this personally. I also struggled for years because my first piano teacher was not able to guide me properly. Only several years later, I was lucky enough to study with teachers who had real experience as concert pianists. Since then, I’ve spent more than ten years retraining myself, rebuilding my technique, and undoing bad habits. It took an enormous amount of effort, but it was worth it. Now I truly understand what went wrong, and you can see some of the results in my videos here. Through this process, I became very aware of how to use my body efficiently and naturally at the piano, and I’ve gained much more flexibility and control. I would be happy to share what I have learned with you.

I graduated from Jazz Piano and Electronic Music at the Royal Conservatoire of the Hague and I have taught piano for more than 10 years now. On top of being an experienced music educator, I am also a touring and recording musician, mainly with the alternative rock band Etienne Machine. I have been improvising and composing my own music for as long as I can remember and I love transmitting the knowledge and skills I have accumulated over the years. I started playing the piano at the age of 7 with classical music and then went on to study jazz and pop music, where I discovered improvisation, started writing my own music and decided to continue in this path and follow professional studies. I graduated with a bachelor in jazz piano from the Royal Conservatoire of the Hague, followed by a One-Year-Course of electro acoustic music studies at the institute of Sonology, also at the Royal Conservatoire. Even though I started on my parents' impulse, I continued and decided to do it professionally when I discovered improvisation and started writing my own music and joining bands.

Hello! I'm Alessandro and I started music when I was 6 and since that moment I have never stopped. I started in my hometown in Italy and for my studies I have been to Bologna, Paris and The Hague. I played for many years the modern piano and later I decided to devote myself to early music and play harpsichord. We could define the harpsichord as the grandfather of the piano, sometimes with two keyboards and beautifully painted, they can have a bright and sunny sound. The main different with the piano is in the mechanics: in the piano we have hummers that hit the strings, in the harpsichord the strings are plucked (like in a guitar to understand). In my lesson we can discover both instruments and understand how they work and what kind of technique we need to make them sound at their best! We can work on pieces you like on both instuments and also learn the basso continuo, the technique used to accompany other instruments such violins, flutes, cellos in the time of Vivaldi and Bach!

Seoie is an amazing teacher. She teaches on a personal level, taking in the students wants and needs when it comes to playing the piano. Her piano knowledge and skill is on a really high level, and has the skill to explain and give exercises to any any level. Her gift for teaching comes from the passion she has for it. Continuously making an effort to improve her teaching, going above and beyond from what one can expect from a teacher. She says she is strict but actually, she just motivates you to play in a really enjoyable way. Next to teaching and playing a she very kind person in general. My dauther takes lessons with Seoie for several months and she loves it! Seoie is able to find a proper approach to her to keep her motivated and enjoy lessons and pplaying piano at home. At the beginning my kid struggled with communication due to low level of her English and learning in Dutch would help to build connection faster. On another hand it helped my kid to learn English better. Overall I recommend Seoie and we happy with progress.
