Hello everyone, if you like music and you're thinking about taking cello lessons, I will be more than happy to share my knowlege and expirience with you! I started to play the cello at the age of 7 years old. I was always fascinated by the sound of this instrument and wanted to learn more from it. I finished the conservatory studies in Barcelona at the age of 17 in a specialized school for musicians, and I entered to the Bachelor degree. I studied with a really well known cello teacher in Spain and I graduated four years later.During my studies I focused in my two big passions: orchestra playing and teaching. I have been member of the national youth orchestra in Catalonia for 5 years. I also specialized in teaching, since it is something organical and natural for me to do and I'm always happy to share my knowledge with other music students. After my bachelor studies, I moved to Austria for one year, where I studied with the principal cellist from the Munich philharmonic orchestra. I combined my studies with a part time job as a music teacher. This year I moved to Groningen to start with my master degree studies at the prince Claus conservatory and I'm very excited to start with this new experience!

Hallo allemaal, mijn naam is Nico en ik ben een Indonesische cellist en woon momenteel in Nederland. Als cellist heb ik veel ervaring met optredens en lesgeven. Ik ben hier een aantal jaar geleden naartoe verhuisd en heb mijn bachelor- en masterdiploma behaald. Ik heb ook veel ervaring met optredens en lesgeven aan verschillende leeftijden en alle niveaus. Dutch is not my first language however I am trying my best to improve everyday. Lessons can be in dutch but sometimes I would need a bit more time finding certain words : ) As a cellist, I am very active performing as soloist and chamber musician. The genres I perform vary from baroque music, classical music, romantic music and even modern rock music. In my class, I always try to understand the goals and interests of all students. Knowing this, I can guide them to reach their goals and teach them how they can practice to help them with this. I started the cello quite late, comparing to most cellists, so I understand that it can be difficult for people to find their ways on the instrument. I always try to keep in mind that everyone has a different time regarding certain technical challenges. I aim for an easy going class but still pushing my students just enough so they can always improve with time. I love playing the cello because I believe I can communicate my ideas through the instrument, as if it is my own voice. Music making is also very important especially when working with other people. This connection is also something I want to teach to my students throughout their time with me.

Ik begon met het voorbereidend jaar en daarna de bachelor van de studie compositie aan het Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Daarna ben ik naar Birmingham gegaan om mijn studie voort te zetten, waarbij ik naast het componeren ook veel bezig geweest ben met het onderzoeken van de rol van de tijd in muziek.

Kan ik ook online celloles volgen?
Ja, online celloles via videobellen is een serieuze optie die door veel leerlingen goed bevalt.
