Hallo, ik ben Tal, een trompetleraar afkomstig uit Zuid-Afrika.

Ik begon op mijn veertiende met trompet spelen en het werd al snel een serieuze passie. Ik ging muziek studeren aan de universiteit, met als hoofdvak jazzuitvoering, waar ik mijn vaardigheden op het gebied van techniek, muziektheorie, samenspel en improvisatie verder ontwikkelde. Ik koos voor jazz omdat het creatief is en je helpt om echt te luisteren, te improviseren en je eigen geluid te vinden.

Na mijn afstuderen richtte ik mijn eigen band op en bracht ik eigen muziek uit. Ik geef nu les aan leerlingen van alle leeftijden en niveaus, en ik geef ook trompetles op een basisschool, dus ik heb veel ervaring met jonge beginners.

Ik geef trompetles aan zowel kinderen als volwassenen, of je nu net begint of weer met muziek bezig bent. Ik geef ook pianoles voor beginners, wat een geweldige manier is om een ​​sterke basis te leggen en te begrijpen hoe muziek werkt.

De lessen kunnen in het Engels of Nederlands worden gegeven (ik heb momenteel niveau B1 en ben bezig met verbeteren). Ik zorg ervoor dat de lessen ontspannen, duidelijk en aangepast aan jouw tempo zijn, zodat je plezier hebt in het leren en gestaag vooruitgang boekt.

Hi, I’m Tal, a trumpet teacher originally from South Africa.

I started playing trumpet at 14, and it quickly became a serious passion. I went on to study music at university, majoring in jazz performance, where I developed skills in technique, music theory, ensemble playing, and improvisation. I chose jazz because it’s creative and helps you really listen, improvise, and find your own sound.

After graduating, I started my own band and released original music. I now teach students of all ages and levels, and I also teach trumpet at a primary school, so I have a lot of experience working with young beginners.

I offer trumpet lessons for both children and adults, whether you’re just starting out or coming back to music. I also teach beginner piano, which is a great way to build a strong foundation and understand how music works.

Lessons can be in English or Dutch (I’m currently at B1 level and improving). I keep lessons relaxed, clear, and adapted to your pace so you can enjoy learning and make steady progress.

Trumpet lessons focused on building solid technique, learning your favorite melodies, and getting into improvisation. We’ll work on the fundamentals like breathing, control, and flexibility, while also making time for music you enjoy. Whether you’re a complete beginner or already have some experience, lessons are tailored to your level and goals so you can keep improving in a way that feels natural.

I offer beginner piano lessons for anyone who wants a clear and enjoyable start in music. We go step by step—learning to read notes, play simple songs, understand rhythm, and get comfortable using both hands together. I keep things straightforward and relaxed so you can build confidence from the beginning. Lessons are adapted to your pace, whether you’re learning for fun or looking to build a solid foundation.
