Intro

Hello!

I'm Alessandro and I started music when I was 6 and since that moment I have never stopped. I started in my hometown in Italy and for my studies I have been to Bologna, Paris and The Hague.

I played for many years the modern piano and later I decided to devote myself to early music and play harpsichord. We could define the harpsichord as the grandfather of the piano, sometimes with two keyboards and beautifully painted, they can have a bright and sunny sound. The main different with the piano is in the mechanics: in the piano we have hummers that hit the strings, in the harpsichord the strings are plucked (like in a guitar to understand). In my lesson we can discover both instruments and understand how they work and what kind of technique we need to make them sound at their best!

We can work on pieces you like on both instuments and also learn the basso continuo, the technique used to accompany other instruments such violins, flutes, cellos in the time of Vivaldi and Bach!

Klavecimbelles

I’m offering harpsichord, basso continuo and music theory lessons for beginners and advanced in English, French and Italian. In the last 10 years I have had several teaching experiences, in Bologna and Paris I taught children from 5 years old to 60 years old adults both individual and group lessons.

In my lessons we can work on solo repertoire and learn how to create a beautiful sound and make the instrument resonate at its best; if you want to focus on basso continuo we can start a step by step method that will make you undestrand the way baroque composers used to accompany other instruments and singers. Furthermore, to enrich our lessons I will also provide insight on history of music.                                                                                                                                                                               I’m very enthusiastic and patient, I attempt to shape my lesson according to the students' level, trying to find the most effective way to improve their skills and let them enjoy the fascinating world that is music.

I’m really excited to start working with you! Don’t hesitate to contact me!
