Hello! My name is Mikael! I'm a guitarist, composer and passionate educator with over 12 years of professional experience. Do you want to take your guitar playing to the next level — with lessons that are fun, inspiring, and genuinely effective? I’d love to help you make that happen.
Hello! My name is Mikael!
I’m a guitarist, composer, and music teacher who loves helping people discover music. Whether you are completely new to an instrument or already have years of experience, my goal is to make learning music feel enjoyable, inspiring, and approachable.
I studied at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and have built an international career as a guitarist and composer. My music has received awards and international recognition, and I bring that professional experience into my lessons in a clear and supportive way so that students can learn step by step.
Everyone learns differently, so I always adapt lessons to the student. Together we focus on building confidence, understanding music, and most importantly enjoying the process of learning and playing.
Beginners, children, and curious adults are all very welcome.
My guitar lessons are friendly, patient, and perfect for beginners, children, and adults who want to start learning the instrument.
We begin with learning chords, rhythms, melodies, and songs you enjoy. Step by step you will learn how the guitar works and build confidence while playing. As you progress we can also explore improvisation, songwriting, and understanding how music works.
I like to play together during lessons and help students develop their musical ear so that learning feels natural and engaging.
You don’t need to own a guitar yet. If you’d like to try a lesson first, I’m happy to lend you an instrument during the lesson, so you can simply come and explore the guitar.
The most important thing for me is that students feel comfortable, motivated, and excited to make music.
Songwriting is one of my favorite parts of music, and I love helping people discover their own musical ideas. These lessons are very welcoming for beginners and for anyone curious about writing their own songs.
Together we explore how songs are created — melodies, chords, lyrics, and structure. We’ll experiment with ideas, listen to music, and learn simple tools that help you turn inspiration into a finished song.
You don’t need a lot of experience to begin. If you play guitar or piano we can use that, but it’s absolutely not required — we can also work with simple musical ideas, singing, or instruments available during the lesson.
My goal is to make songwriting feel creative, relaxed, and inspiring while helping you gain the confidence to express your own musical ideas.
I studied piano for seven years in both classical and jazz music, and I enjoy introducing students to the piano in a relaxed and encouraging way.
Piano lessons start with the fundamentals — simple melodies, rhythms, and learning how the keyboard works. Gradually we add reading music, playing with both hands, and understanding the building blocks of music.
Lessons take place on a full 88-key weighted keyboard, so you can experience the piano in a natural and comfortable way.
You don’t need to own a piano or keyboard yet. You’re very welcome to come and try a lesson first and play during the session.
My goal is to help students feel confident at the piano while enjoying the process of learning music.
Bass is the heart of the music because it connects rhythm and harmony and gives a band its groove. My bass lessons are welcoming for beginners and anyone curious about learning this powerful instrument.
We start with the fundamentals: learning how to hold and play the bass, simple grooves, rhythms, and playing along with music. Step by step you’ll learn how bass lines work and how to play confidently with others.
I focus on helping students develop good timing, a strong musical ear, and a solid understanding of how the bass supports the music.
You don’t need to own a bass yet. If you’d like to try a lesson first, you’re welcome to use one during the lesson.
My goal is to make learning the bass feel fun, relaxed, and inspiring while building a strong musical foundation.
