Hallo allemaal! Mijn naam is Martina en ik kom oorspronkelijk uit Italië. Momenteel woon ik in Amsterdam, waar ik ben afgestudeerd aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag, met een specialisatie in jazz zang en een minor in jazzgitaar.

Mijn passie voor muziek begon toen mijn moeder mij op zesjarige leeftijd een gitaar cadeau gaf. Vanaf dat moment voelde ik een sterke verbondenheid met muziek. Ik begon met klassieke gitaar en ontdekte later ook mijn liefde voor zingen. Ik vond het geweldig om urenlang te zingen, gitaar te spelen, nieuwe nummers te leren en mezelf steeds verder uit te dagen om beter te worden.

In die tijd speelde ik graag popsongs van artiesten zoals Ed Sheeran, KT Tunstall, Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, Ingrid Michaelson en nog veel meer. Ik heb altijd met een open blik naar verschillende muziekstijlen geluisterd, en juist daardoor werd ik uiteindelijk verliefd op jazzmuziek. De ritmes, melodieën en harmonieën spraken me enorm aan.

Ik begon jazzstandards te leren, zowel als zangeres als gitariste, geïnspireerd door prachtige artiesten zoals Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, Mel Tormé en vele anderen. Na verloop van tijd besefte ik dat mijn grootste wens was om mezelf verder te ontwikkelen en de stap te zetten naar een professionele muzikale carrière.

Vanuit die motivatie besloot ik te gaan studeren aan het Conservatorium van Den Haag. Daar leerde ik niet alleen mijn stemtechniek verder ontwikkelen, maar groeide ik ook als muzikant in het algemeen. Tijdens mijn studie volgde ik onder andere lessen in muziektheorie, gehoortraining en ritme. Het was een intensieve maar prachtige reis die me zowel artistiek als persoonlijk heeft laten groeien.

Nu voel ik de behoefte om mijn kennis te delen en anderen te helpen hun eigen manier van expressie via muziek te ontdekken. Mijn doel is om jouw muzikale reis leuk, motiverend en inspirerend te maken, en je daarbij alle ondersteuning te bieden die je nodig hebt.

ENG:Hi everybody! My name is Martina, and I’m originally from Italy. I’m currently based in Amsterdam, where I graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague, specializing in jazz singing with a minor in jazz guitar.

My passion for music began when my mum gifted me a guitar at the age of six. From that moment, I felt a deep connection to music that has stayed with me ever since. I started with classical guitar, and later discovered my love for singing too. I truly enjoyed spending hours singing, playing guitar, learning new songs, and constantly challenging myself to improve.

At that time, I loved playing pop songs by artists such as Ed Sheeran, KT Tunstall, Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, Ingrid Michaelson, and many others. I’ve always been curious about different musical genres and loved listening to all kinds of music. That openness eventually led me to fall in love with jazz. Its rhythms, melodies, and harmonic richness completely captivated me.

I began learning jazz standards both as a singer and guitarist, inspired by incredible artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, Mel Tormé, and many more. Over time, I realized that my biggest dream was to grow further and take the next step toward becoming a professional musician.

This desire brought me to the Conservatoire of The Hague, where I developed not only my vocal technique, but also my overall musicianship. During my studies, I took lessons in music theory, ear training, rhythm, and much more. It was an intense but beautiful journey that helped me grow both artistically and personally.

Today, I feel excited to share my knowledge and help others discover their own way of expressing themselves through music. My goal is to make your musical journey enjoyable, motivating, and inspiring, while offering all the support you may need along the way.

The vocal lessons are designed for the pupil’s needs, meaning that during the lessons we will work on whatever is there to improve in order to let you get the most from your singing voice!

During the lessons we will learn exercises to warm up and cool down the voice (so a pre- and a post- workout); we will work on vocal technique, doing specific exercises based on specific needs; we will work on the repertoire, choosing appropriate songs according to your taste and to what suits your voice the best. But, most of all, we are going to have FUN while learning and improving!

For the first trial lesson it would be ideal to bring one song that you know well and that you like to sing and preferably you sang already. You don’t have any song yet? no problem at all, we will start with nice exercises and we can choose together a song to work on!

lately I specialized in brasilian guitar technique but I also play a lot in pop, jazz and classical styles too!
