Sinds ik klein was, begon ik muziek en percussie te studeren in de band van mijn kleine dorp. Ik wilde blijven groeien in de muziek, dus besloot ik naar het conservatorium te gaan waar ik klassieke en contemporary muziek leerde. Door verschillende docenten maakte ik kennis met Latijnse, Braziliaanse en Afrikaanse muziek, en ik bleef leren totdat ik besloot naar Rotterdam te verhuizen om me te richten op Latijnse muziek aan Codarts.

Ben je klaar om de wereld van muziek te verkennen? Dit is jouw plek! Ik bied je muzieklessen aan waarin je percussie-instrumenten leert kennen, maar ook traditionele muziek, de historische achtergrond en nog veel meer! Altijd met passie en toewijding vanwege mijn liefde voor lesgeven en muziek!

Ik specialiseer me in Latijnse, Braziliaanse en Flamenco muziek. Ik kan je dus een breed scala aan instrumenten en tradities leren. In de Latijns/Cubaanse muziek kun je congas, timbales en bongó leren, maar ook: güiro en shekeré. Met Braziliaanse muziek kan ik je leren pandeiro, rebolo/tan tan, surdo, cuica, reco reco, tamborim, zabumba and batucada instruments als timbao of dobra. En voor de flamenco-traditie kun je cajón leren, maar ook, als je geïnteresseerd bent, de verschillende patronen van de palmas.

All my lessons are prepared for the student, so depending on you, we'll set up the lessons. But here you have the specific points I find more important:

- Technical basis: the technique is essencial to be a good percussionist.

- Music theory: it can help you to read the scores or to understand the music.

- Different rhythms, patterns and styles: latin, brazilian and flamenco are a huge diverse world of music that we will discover in our lessons.

- Music accompaniment: we'll learn the role of percussion as the base of a band.

- Improvisation: a percussion player can also shine, so I'll teach you the language to talk with the drums.

For the lessons I can provide you the instruments! Also, lessons can be individual, duos or groups. You only need to bring your desire to learn! Lessons can be done in English, Spanish or Dutch. 

I have experience as a teacher with individual lessons and group lessons with workshops. This taugh me that the passion I have for music and teaching and the emotion of the students was the perfect combination to have fun while learning.
