Welcome to my guitar shed!

My name is Elad, I've been playing guitar for more than I can remember.

Some of my musical experience involves spending time in New Orleans and St. Louis playing with local blues artists, and later on attending the conservatory of Rotterdam for 2 years.

I have a great knowledge of music theory and extreme patience for teaching the fundementals of music as a whole and guitar specifically.

I teach a variety of students, from those looking to hold a guitar for the first time, to intermediate players that want to get into improvisation and music theory.

Let me take you from Zero to Hero!

*Ik ben nog steeds bezig mijn Nederlands te verbeteren, dus ik voel me niet zo zeker van mijn zaak als het gaat om lesgeven aan kinderen die helemaal geen Engels spreken. Maar als er een Engelssprekende ouder aanwezig is, zou dat misschien wel een optie zijn!

-I own extra guitars, so you don't have to buy one to start learning!

-Other instruments I'm familiar with: Bass guitar, Drums, Piano.

Depending on your current level, I offer 2 approaches for learning:

1. Learn your first song!
This course is focused on taking you from never touching a guitar, to playing your first song.
We will go through these steps:
*Learn the structure and mechanical aspects of the guitar as an instrument.
*Go through the basics of guitar playing.
*You get to choose any song to your liking and we start learning it together.
*We learn what to look for when listening to music and learning it on the guitar

2. From strummer to improvisor.
This one is for the intermediate players who are looking to initiate or expand their improvisational capabilities.
*We dissect the thought process of an improvisor and learn to express ourselves richly in any musical context.
*We learn scales, common chord voicings, and exercises that help visualize the neck and open it up for a wider range of sounds and colors.
*Whether you are a blues/pop player who's familiar with the basic pentatonic shapes and would like to expand their horizons, or someone who had been playing chords and play along with tunes but wants to get into improvisation and free playing, we can work together towards musical development.
