Thanks for checking out my profile! My name is Skylar, I'm a 24 year old transgirl from Eindhoven, I've been playing guitar for about 4 years and I'm currently in my exam year studying guitar at Metal Factory!

As long as I can remember I've been deeply passionate about music! My dad used to play guitar and there was always music playing in the house. I grew up listening to my father's cd's consisting of stuff like Boston, ELO, The Status Quo, Squeeze and the likes. 

My personal pallette is all over the place with my favourite music ranging from DnB to Jazz and Fusion!

I sadly didn't pick up guitar at a young age but ever since I did, it's been an obsession of mine. 

I think that music is a very therapeutic tool that is always there to provide for you, whenever you need it and it's great for one's personal development! 

My guitar playing is hugely inspired by players like Marty Friedman, Jason Becker, Guthrie Govan, Matteo Mancuso, Kiko Loureiro, Nuno Bettencourt and the bands they're associated with.

Playing melodies and some occasional shredding are pretty common features of my playing style! 

I spend the most time improvising over random backing tracks I find or writing my own music, wether that's for school or for myself! Anything I play or write tends to be a little unorthodox which is something I really like about my writing style. 

I am constantly searching for my personality and my own voice on the guitar and to me, that's what makes playing so much fun and so special! 

I think guitar is for everyone and I love to share my enthusiasm for the art of music with my students! 

I'm here to offer you guitar lessons or coaching, depending on what format you are most likely to enjoy! 

My goal is to help people that struggle with improvising freely on the guitar! 

My guitar lessons will mostly consist of handy nuggets of information you can use to expand your knowledge of the fretboard so you can achieve musical freedom on all parts of the neck.

We will spend time on scales, modes, techniques, phrasing, and personality to make your playing as unique and fluid as possible.

I offer 45 to 60 minute sessions and the age, skill level or ambitions do not matter, as long as you're passionate!

Having your own guitar is reccommended but if you don't currently own one yet, I'll gladly assist you in buying your first pieces of gear!
