With more than 200 students through all my life, more than 500 shows (mostly in Spain but also around Europe and a couple of minitours in America), 15 CD’s/EP/singles published (as a frontman, sideman and producer), a bachelor in jazz-modern music guitar (Taller de Músics - Barcelona), half bachelor in piano jazz (Conservatori del Liceu - Barcelona) and a long professional music career behind me playing a ton of different styles (pop, rock, funk, metal, jazz, folk, rumba, reggae...), I’ve come from Barcelona to Rotterdam to continue my musical journey by doing the latin master at Codarts.

I’ve been working as a music teacher for around 12 years (I’m 29 years old), both doing private lessons and in different music schools, being the most important one the “Escola de Música Creu Alta” in Sabadell (Barcelona), which is one of the biggest music schools in Spain (with more than 900 students), in which I was the Head of the Modern Music Department. I teach guitar (electric and classical), piano (electric and classical), composition, musical production (with Logic Pro), ensemble and modern music theory AT ALL LEVELS, from 100% beginners to people who want to prepare themselves for the music bachelor.

I can adapt totally to what the student wants and is looking for, but also, since I have a lot of experience, I have the lessons well planned, I know which songs and exercises work better depending on the aspect that we want to work (tempo, chords, scales, sound, improvisation...) and when I see someone playing I can see in which aspects is the person strong, and in which aspects has the person more problems, so that way you won’t waste your time! Also I’m a fun and very empathic person so we will have fun, which is the most important thing!! Lessons available in Spanish, Catalan, Portuguese, French, English and Dutch.

-Minimal age: 6 years.

-It is better if you bring your own guitar, if not we can work it out! (With little kids it is important that you bring your own guitar, because you will need a guitar adapted to your size).

-Lessons can take place in your place, or in one of the places that School of Music provides.

1. WHAT DO I PLAY?
   -Chords: from basic open chords, to more complex jazzy chords, finding the best voicings and understanding how the chords work (music theory)
   -Scales and arpeggios: pentatonic, diagonal pentatonic, modal scales (major and minor) and arpeggios all over the neck
   -In a more advanced level: mixing those two aspects and realizing that at the end, they are the same!
   
   
2. HOW DO I PLAY?
   -Tone: dynamics and sound
   -Feeling: all the different techniques in guitar: bendings, legato, palm mute,
   -Gear: pick ups, pedals, amps, guitars...
   
   
3. TEMPO, TECHNIQUE AND GROOVE
   -Right hand technique, both with and without pick
   -SUBDIVISION AND RHYTHMIC PRECISION.
   
   
4. SONGWRITING AND MUSIC PRODUCTION
   -Composition/Modern harmony
   -Music production with logic pro (recording, sound design, arrangements...)
   -Singing and playing at the same time
   
   
5. VOCABULARY (MUSIC STYLES)
   -What do I have to do when I'm playing X genre? Funk, Jazz, Rumba, Brazil, Reggae, Rock, Metal, Blues, Classical, Flamenco...
   
   THIS ASPECTS WILL BE STUDIED THROUGH THE SONGS THAT YOU LIKE
   
   This is short and clear the way I like to organize my viewing of the guitar (and also piano). Obviously, if you want to focus just in some aspects (f.e: "just acoustic guitar, composing and singing", "jazz guitar to be able to improvise chord melodies and solos over all the standards", "metal guitar with a lot of technique and nothing else") we can do it also (I'll try to show you other stuff in order to broaden your musical horizon, but we can stick to what you want to learn).
