I started playing the trumpet at the age of 11, and since then music has been a central part of my life. I began with classical training and later moved into jazz, studying at the Siena Jazz Academy and completing a Master’s degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. These experiences helped me build a strong foundation, but more importantly, they taught me how to practice effectively and how to overcome common difficulties that every student faces.

Over nearly 20 years with the instrument, I’ve gone through many technical and musical challenges myself. This is why in my teaching I focus on clarity, patience, and practical methods that really work. Whether you are just starting or already have some experience, I aim to help you develop step by step, with a clear direction and a positive approach.

My goal as a teacher is not only to improve your technique, but also to help you enjoy the process of learning and feel more confident with your instrument.

I can also offer guidance on choosing the right instrument for your needs, as well as advice on renting a trumpet during the initial learning period.

This trumpet course is open to students of all levels, from beginners to advanced players. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, interests, and current level.

The program can include fundamental and advanced technique, sound development, breathing control, music theory, ear training, harmony, composition, arranging, and jazz improvisation. A strong focus can also be placed on jazz language, style, and repertoire, for students interested in exploring the jazz tradition and its modern developments. Special attention is given to body awareness and breathing exercises, which are essential for building a natural and efficient relationship with the instrument.

The teaching approach does not follow a fixed method. After a trial lesson, a personalized learning path is designed based on the student’s objectives, pace, and motivation. The aim is to build solid technical and musical foundations while encouraging creativity, listening skills, and artistic independence.
