Hoi allemaal!

Ik heet Eva, en ik ben een profesioneel zangeres die momenteel studeert Latin Voice aan Codarts Rotterdam. Ik kom uit Galicië, Spanje vandaan, en ik woon sinds 2022 in Rotterdam. Ik spreek een beetje Nederlands, maar ik voel me op dit moment meer op mijn gemak in het Engels, in het Spaans, of in het Portugees.

I entered Codarts with an interest in Pop and songwriting, although from the first moment I knew my interests were much broader. Through experiencing other styles live and in performance, I fell in love with Latin grooves and rhythmns, a passion that ended up branching out in many traditions, such us Northeastern Brazilian music, Galician Folk or Afro-Cuban rumba. I am specially interested in how music makes me feel, and how I can express through it what I have inside; maintaining at all times a respect for the context and culture of musical traditions.

And to end, a fun fact: I can speak 4 languages; Spanish, Galician, Portuguese and English. Dutch is on the way!

Throughout my musical journey, I’ve explored a wide range of styles—from jazz to pop, samba to salsa, cumbia to punk. I love diving into any genre that sparks my interest, always with the understanding that true progress comes from solid theoretical foundations and good technique.

Thanks to this mindset, I've stumbled upon different instruments, which helps me understand music from different perspectives. Voice because I was born to sing, piano and guitar because I wanted to accompany myself, and percussion because it's fun to hit things!

This balance of joyful exploration and mindful learning is what I bring to my lessons, and I’d love to share it with you!

My ultimate goal is to help my students develop the skills and confidence to study and enjoy music independently. Join me on this journey, and I’ll teach you how to explore different styles while having fun along the way.

Singing is the most ancestral instrument, and I will teach you how to use it!

There's many myths to how the voice works. That one is born with a workable voice, that it is effortless to sing, that one must sing from the diaphragm... Rest assured, I will show you true from false: your voice WILL work if you work it! From technique, to theory, to performance, we will work on the necessary steps to feel free to express with a healthy voice. Healthy voices feel good, and I would love to see you singing even when you're 90!

In terms of repertoire, the world is our oyster. I will ask you about the music you enjoy and take it from there- whether it's pop, rock, salsa, punk, musical theatre, samba... etc. Every genre has one thing in common, and that's YOU. I'll help you find YOUR voice, in the literal and metaphorical sense, regardless of what you sing. 

How does a lesson look like?

My lessons will be personalized to YOUR needs and YOUR goals. I will use our trial lesson to assess what exactly I can do for you.
