My name is David Theunissen, I started playing guitar at the age of 12 and since then have never stopped learning more about the world of music and audio. My greatest inspirations are Blues, Rock, Metal and Fusion and I am a massive fan of legendary players such as Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen, Slash, Eric Johnson and Joe Satriani. I am a guitar player first and foremost, however I have learned to play many instruments in the meantime, such as piano, drums and singing. I also started getting heavily involved and passionate about music production, audio engineering and sound design at a very young age and ended up going to college (the Art Institute of Vancouver) to graduate as an audio engineer. I have also attended courses at the prestigious Berklee College of Music for guitar performance.

Since the age of 18, I have given guitar and music production lessons. I am extremely passionate about teaching and love to share my knowledge and experience with other musicians and aspiring musicians.

I have been an electronic music producer for 9 years now and also accumulated a large amount of experience with music procdution, sound design, synthesis, mixing and mastering along the way. I currently play in festivals and clubs as a DJ as well, performing my own productions. In general, I would consider myself an all-round musician, audio engineer and music producer.

I offer guitar, music theory and music production lessons from beginner to very advanced levels in very flexible formats depending on your goals and availability. The minimum time for a single lesson is 30 minutes, although I recommend 1-hour classes every week or two times a month.

When it comes to levels, I can teach all of the subjects from beginner to very advanced levels.

As a guitar player with 15 years of experience playing rock, blues, fusion, jazz and many other genres, I can help you reach your goals by sharing my personal experience and knowledge over the subject. The subjects I teach are:

• Guitar performance techniques (strumming techniques, finger picking, bends, tapping, alternate picking etc)

I have always been a great student of music theory since the early days of learning music, I try and study and learn new concepts every week and have experience with very advanced music theory from playing and studying Jazz. These are the subjects I teach:
