Claudia Veloso

I am a Cuban flutist  and professor who started playing the instrument at the age of nine. I did all music levels education in my home country untill the bachelor's degree and after that I came to The Netherlands to pursue my Master's Degree in Classical music, which I completed in 2024. Since then I have been active freelance musician, performing with professionals orchestras like Netherlands Philharmonic and amateur ones like Het Zeuws Orkest and several other projects. I also regularly perform with my own ensemble Aires Tropicales Quintet. ( You could also check my social media for a better insight of my musical activities) and I had the big pleasure of being part of the Jong Metropole Academy in 2024-2025.

I have been flute teacher at CKE kunstcentrum in Eindhoven por three years already, where I teach passionate students from all over the world. Always looking for what can truly inspire them. 

I enjoy classical music as well as jazz, Pop, folk music and other wierd musical experiments. I chase what makes my emotions arise and what makes me feel alive and conected to others and the world, and try to guide my students to get closer to themselves through music.

If you are still figurating out whether the flute is what will make you happy the most ( probably it will !) , and therefore you dont feel ready to invest on a new flute for yourself yet, I can offer a borrowed dwarsfluit from CKE during our trial lesson.

If you prefer to have your lessons at your own place that is also possible, we would only need around at least 10m2, a music stand, and consent from your neighbors and cohabitants regarding sound. 

De blokfluit is een leuk en toeagankelijk instrument om kennis te maken met muziek. Vooral voor kinderen jonger dan 8 jaar is de blokfluit zeer geschikt, omdat het instrument klein is en licht is en goed aansluit bij hun fysieke ontwikkeling.

Kinderen en volwassenen kunnen al snel zelf geluid maken en eenvoudige, herkenbare melodieen spelen. Dat maakt de eerste muzieeklesses meeten speels en motiverend! Tijdens de lessen ontdekken kinderen stap voor stap ritme, melodie, luisteren en samenspelen.

Dit instrument kan bovendien een fijne basis vormen voor een verdere muzikale ontwikkeling en is enn mooie manier om op jonge leeftijd plezier in muziek te ontedekken.
