Hello! First of all, thanks for being here. My name is Carolina and I am a guitarist and composer. I’m from Spain and I’ve been all my life surrounded by music. I’ve been teaching guitar and music theory in a music school in Alicante, Spain, for the past 2 years. Now I live in Rotterdam and I would love to continue teaching here and spread my musical knowledge with new students. I started to play guitar when I was 9 and  since then I haven’t stopped. I got my bachelor in classical guitar while I was also learning musical composition. I love teaching music and make people enjoy with this amazing instrument with so many possibilities.

In my classes I like to give a personal approach, listen to the student needs and provide them with the best lessons I can give.

The lessons would be in English or Spanish, I don’t know any Dutch.

In this course you will learn how to play guitar from scratch or you will improve your playing. You don’t need to have any previous knowledge about music, just bring your guitar (it doesn’t matter if it’s Spanish, acoustic or electric) and we’ll start from there. In the first class you will learn your first song.

This course is perfect for people who have never found the time to learn it and now they can. That wants to play guitar to have fun with it. That maybe wants to play and sing along. Also for people who just wants to take up a new hobby. Or maybe for people who wants to take their first steps in music.

In my lessons we will have a relaxed and communicative ambient. You will learn how to play the songs you most like through the understanding and practice of the chords, rhythm, melodies and also developing the better technique for your hands and body. I will give you the tips and tricks to learn faster the songs you like most. These tricks came from ages of studying and teaching and realising what are the main problems that the student faces when he or she is learning an instrument.

For the first class it would be good if you can tell me some songs that you would like to learn eventually, your musical taste (bands, songs, styles…) or any information you consider that I need to know to make you enjoy while you learn. If you don’t it’s okay, I will give you the songs I consider appropriate for your level.

I’ve taught modern guitar for a few years now and I would be happy to teach you.

In this course you will learn how to play classical guitar from scratch or improve your previous knowledge. For this course you will need to know the basis of how to read scores as we will work with music sheets. You will also need to bring your own guitar.

As a musician I’ve been studying guitar all my life and teaching the last 4 years. In my lessons we will have a relaxed and communicative ambient, I will give you the scores we will work with and we’ll get deep into it for a few classes. I usually work with 2-3 music pieces at the same time and they are either songs and technique/studies exercises.

I will give you the tips and tricks to learn faster. These tricks came from ages of studying and teaching and realising what are the main problems that a student faces when he or she is learning an instrument.

In this course you will learn:

• where are the notes on the guitar how to play them with your fingers the best technique for your right and left hands play songs the best way to study music theory applied to guitar

You don’t need to do anything for the first class, just tell me your starting point with the instrument one or two days ahead so I can prepare the lesson.

In this course you will learn the basis of ukelele:

• chords rythms coordination songs

You don’t need to have any previous knowledge and I can lend you one ukelele for the trial lesson, but after that you should bring your own.

If you want to take up a new hobby and you like music, ukelele is the perfect instrument for you. You will see the progress in a few lessons and you will be capable to play most of the songs in no time. Then if you want to take then next step, you can enroll the guitar course, as both instruments have a lot in common.
