Do you want to start playing bass?
Are you an experienced musician looking to develop a deeper connection with the instrument?
I started playing bass when I was 14, inspired by the sound of funk and rock bass players of the nineties. Years later I fell in love with jazz music and I moved to Barcelona to study the Bachelor in Jazz Bass at Liceu Conservatory. During these years studying in Barcelona I had the opportunity to work as an educator and as a musician with different bands, both in the studio and in live performances. At the same time I got in touch with different styles of music, especially those related to audio production, such as: Hip-Hop, IDM, Pop …
Last year I moved to Rotterdam to start a Research Master’s degree at Codarts. Today I am in the second year of this Master, about to finish my educational process, and I really want to share the knowledge and musical experiences that I have learned throughout these years as a student and music professional.
During these years studying music I have also learned a lot about how to teach music, by being taught and teaching my own students. My lessons will be designed for your own experience as a musician and your goals, and always trying to adapt to your personal tastes. I believe that any musical genre is valid to make you grow if you enjoy the process of learning it.
It doesn’t matter if your goal is to develop new skills or to deepen the skills you already have. These lessons will be adapted to both your level and your personal music taste.
My goal is to make you a better bass player and for that we can cover a variety of different topics depending on your needs, such as:
– Stylistic variety: Jazz, Funk, Soul, Hip-Hop, Pop, Rock, Latin…– Technique skills.– Audio production.– Rhythm perception, Polyrhythms, Odd meters…– Music Theory: Jazz harmony, Sight-reading…– Ear training.
