Hi, I’m Alexandru. I’m 23 and I’m a master’s student at Prins Claus Conservatoire, where I study double bass. I started playing the violin when I was seven and later discovered jazz. I realised that I was really into the double bass, so I stuck with it. I’ve been travelling in the world of art and music ever since. I completed my Bachelor's degree at the National University of Music in Bucharest, Romania, and spent a year studying abroad in Vienna at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität. I know how important it is to have a mentor to help you develop your artistic skills and to inspire and encourage you to follow your passions and your own artistic ideas. That's why I want to offer this support to anyone who wants to experience this path of music through the double bass. I’ve often worked with different orchestras and ensembles during my studies, which has taught me some innovative approaches to different musical genres like classical, jazz and contemporary. It’s been great to see how important art is for people. In the past, I’ve taught some high school students in pedagogical courses at the university, but also privately. I’ve been encouraged to follow my passion and have fun while learning music, so it’s my turn to offer this to others!
