A huge world to discover

I started to play euphonium (bugel) when I was 8 years old, in a small wind orchestra. I studied trombone at the classical department of the Conservatory in Udine (Italy). I graduated with honors in 2014. In 2015 I started studing jazz music at Codarts in Rotterdam. I had experiences in various kinds of music. Now I’m a professional trombone player, and I write music for many different ensembles. In 2017 I’ve recorded the album: ‘Mainerio!’ I had a 4 year-experience teaching trumpet, trombone, tuba and solfege in local band’s school, mostly for beginners. I love music because it is a huge world to discover and I cannot immagine to stay only one day without thinking about music. I especially enjoy brass instruments.

Touring around Europe

I toured in Europe with some international ska bands as: New York Ska Jazz Ensemble (NY, USA), Western Standard Time (LA, USA), The Toasters (USA), Rotterdam Ska Jazz Foundation (NL). In 2012 I founded the “North East Ska*Jazz Orchestra” with whom I also arrange the pieces. I recorded two albums: “Music for Marikana” (2014) and “Stompin’ & Rollin’” (2015). With this orchestra, I played in Italy, Spain, France, Netherlands, Germany and Slovenia. I recorded also two album with the band “Freddy Frenzy & Magazin Roots”: “Reunion” (2011) and “Lemene Gold” (2015). I was involved in a lot of jazz big bands, salsa bands, marching bands as tuba player and many brass ensembles.

Trumpet, trombone, tuba and solfege

Max: “I can give you part of my musical experience as a musician and brass-player, but everybody needs to practice and experiment for himself, and enjoy the music! I have a lot of interesting material to practice in order to improve your slide/valve technique, exercises from many books, songs and everything you would like to play. If you are a beginner, first I’ll show you how the instrument works, then I’ll provide you some basic music sheets. I like to play together during the lesson, exchange ideas and I’m open to any kind of music. You can start taking lessons at the age of 7/8 years old. Bring your own instrument. You can book your trial lesson below”.
