Hi! My name is Lorenzo, and I am an Italian drummer based in Den Haag.
Have you always been amazed by drums, drumming? Did you ever want to try to play your favorite song on drums? My course is right for you then!
A bit of myself
I started playing drums when I was a teenager, and I fell in love with this instrument, thanks to my first drum teacher. That’s why I think who you learn from is vital, and I try to bring on my first teacher legacy! I am a master’s student at the Royal Conservatoire in Den Haag, and I am specializing in electronic drumming. My background is jazz music, but I play in different bands and different kinds of music. I also can play different kinds of Latin and Italian percussion.
My approach to teaching music is focused on learning concepts in a musical context. I like to make my students apply what they learned directly on a song or loop because I think that makes it much more effective.
I can give lessons in English, Italian, Spanish and Dutch (B1)
Check out the courses I give!
My main instrument. I can teach it in many styles and to all levels fitting the program to the student’s needs. I make use of material from books as well as songs and backing tracks.
I have studied at Conservatoires for many years, and I have a broad knowledge of music theory. I can teach you from the basics like notes, rhythm, and chords to more complex concepts like analysis and jazz harmony or composition even.
As I said, I can play congas, Cajon and different kinds of Italian tambourine. I mostly learned it myself, and I am still developing techniques to blend these sounds in my setup. Therefore I offer lessons if you want to start with those instruments.
For my Master’s study at the Conservatoire, I am specializing in electronics and how to play it on drums. Therefore I am producing a lot of music, and I can help you getting into Ableton, Logic, for writing and recording your music.
