Pop & Jazz music
Growing up in southern Spain, you might assume one would be firmly bound to flamenco and folk music. The truth is that I grew up listening to my father’s record collection, which involved a lot of the 70’s music. I started playing the guitar at the age of 12, inspired by guitarists like Jimi Hendrix and John Frusciante. I discovered jazz when I studied in Barcelona at the age of 19. During my studies, I met and played with incredible artists like Gary Willis. In 2013 I moved to Rotterdam and studied Brazilian music at Codarts, where I explored another side of the guitar with music from masters like Baden Powell and João Bosco.
I have played for diverse artists and producers during the last few years besides composing for theater plays. Currently, I go as a solo artist and just released an album.
I’ve been teaching for the past 10 years. For me, it is essential to adapt to the needs and expectations of the students. Since I’ve been exploring and experimenting with a wide variation of music styles, we can work with electric, acoustic, or classical guitar styles like pop, rock, funk, jazz, and Brazilian music with a repertoire of your liking (including your favorite campfire songs!). If you are also interested in expanding your knowledge of guitar gear, like effects pedals and how to use them, you’re in the right place! I’m a pedal nerd who spent a lot of time on sound design and ambiance creation, so we can totally dig it!
Last but not least, I offer electric bass lessons for beginners. In these lessons, you will learn to start grooving and practice your first songs.
