My name is Juan Diaz, I come from the north of Spain, and I play double bass. I studied music in different countries like Spain, Germany, and the Netherlands, getting my bachelor’s and master diplomas. I got interested in playing double bass at the age of 17 after having played other instruments before. I grew up in a classical music environment because my father been an orchestra musician. Still, at the same time, I became a huge jazz fan so, which instrument would be better able to combine these two passions than the double bass!! By now, I have experience by playing in many different orchestras through the years like the Orchestra of the 18th Century, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the European Union Baroque Orchestra, Het Gelders Orkest, Lucerne Festival Academy, among others, and touring around many countries.
