Clarinet teacher with a lot of experience
Hello! My name is Alberto. I am and enthousiastic clarinet player and docent from Salamanca (Spain). I finished my Bachelor degree in Classical Music at Codarts, where I studied with Julien Hervé and Bruno Bonasea. Apart from the Classical music studies I have a deep interest for many other styles, like Jazz, Klezmer or Latin.
At the moment, I am an active member of the Ricciotti Ensemble and various chamber music groups and I have played with orchestras and line-ups such as the Metropole Orchest and the Dutch National Opera, apart from other personal projects.
I started studying music when I was 7/8 years old, and from the great teachers I had, I developed a huge passion for music. That´s why I continued my studies to become a professional musician!
As a teacher, it is my main goal to share my motivation and the same love I learned as a child since I believe it is the strongest characteristic of music and human relations.
I have always had a deep interest in chamber music, teaching and improvisation and I would like to be able to show you this passion.
I remember the moment I decided to play the clarinet with special affection. I was a very small kid starting in a music school , where we were shown all the possible instruments to choose from. The moment I heard the low notes of the clarinet, I fall in love with the sound and the instrument inmediately, its warm tone, its richness in the sound colour… and from that day I don’t regret my decision!
Because of this first encounter, I developed a special connection with the clarinet and with the music and it is my goal to be able to help others in achieving this feeling and passion! It doesn’t matter the age, either if the student is a kid or an adult, it is never too late to play and fall in love with music.
The focus of my lessons is to show the possibilities of music, adapting to the student needs, going from clarinet technique to theory, other styles of music such us Klezmer, Jazz, basic piano, or even learning how to play the bass clarinet. I can help you start giving your first steps with this instrument, or guide you to improve and further your knownledge, being able to achieve your dream of playing the beautiful music of Brahms, Mozart, Debussy… you name it!
But the most important thing is to find a path for each student, so do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, and feel free to share your thoughts, I can adapt to your personal goals.
It is advised to have already your own instrument, though it shouldn’t be an impediment for you to start learning if you still don’t have it. If that’s the case, please contact me in order to find a solution, I can help you to buy an affordable though reliable instrument.
Improvisation for beginners
Did you always wanted to play some Jazz music, a good old Blues, improvise something on the spot, or just being able to start a band with some friends?
Maybe you don’t know yet how to do it, but I can help you get started in many different styles of music. The main objetive is to have fun and learn something new on the way, and if you don’t know if you will like it or not, give it a try! I am sure you will not regret it.
Apart from instrument lessons, it is fascinating to learn more about harmony, ear training, solfège or general music theory. I have years of experience following Orff’s teaching methodology for kids and Edgar Willems approach to music, which help provide a natural approach to music and its implications.
The lessons are also available at the students location ( after consultation) and online. At the teachers location all possible measures are taken to prevent any contagion:
- There will be hand sanitizer available
- 1,5m distance will be kept at all moments
- If the student feels more confident that way, I can wear a face mask through out the lesson
The most important thing is to keep safe and healthy, if the student feels any symptomps, please communicate it in advance and I will be happy to find a solution to re-arrange your lesson.
